i am back from OBS!
.
Yeah....i must admit....i really was homesick cause the conditions given to us was really bad.....i shall just cut short and say it in brief. Alot of things happened!
.
We slept in the forest on day 1 and my instructor said it was the worst campsite you can get. That i beg to differ! it was cooling soft....muddy and we slept with wild boars....but really it wasn't as bad as day 2....we hiked to the water treatment plant for OBS....and they brought us to this place where it was rock hard....and i seriously mean rock hard! the ground was orange! and we had toilets EVERYWHERE! All the green the bushes all convieniently ready to use!
.
than we woke up and hiked for 3 hours to a river. The water was so cooling! i never expected myself to jump into a river! it was really deep....my instructor kenn, said it was 40m deep! a bit hard to believe leh....but i didn't want to try so yeah.... oh yes we went kayaking! it rocks..... enough said.
.
than we hiked back drenched.....somehow it seemed like it was much faster and the wind cooled us down though our giant haversacks seemed way heavier than before but yeah we made it!
.
the scariest activity must be the tunnelling....yeah it's not that scary lah.....we had to go underground through a 3 step ladder....and i thought okay maybe it won't be that dark...so i told the other instructor okay and i went in...it was so so so so dark! i couldn't see my hands...and okay i admit i got scared so i started humming....it helped....really....than i crawled and crawled and finally i got out.....it was really enriching lah...in a way....haha.
.
the whole camp was a journey..... at least i proved to myself that i can survive outdoors!!!!! a round of applause to tenzing and shackleton watches! and kenn and maujricette for your guidance! All you rock!
